Busy summer

Well that school year went by in a flash!!

To finish off the school year, I traveled to Vancouver to write my final exam for an Import/Export Law class, unfortunately the exam was to take place the day after the Boughton Law Corporation Summer Party. It was a tough decision, but in the end I was well-behaved and studied, whilst my sponsoring firm enjoyed all they could eat BBQ burgers at their FIFA themed summer event. Still, I’m grateful that year two of law school is now over and I can now concentrate on training for some great wrestling competitions.

Right after exams in April I flew to Toronto for the Stage 2 Nationals wrestle off. I am very excited to report that I qualified for the Sport Combat Games in Beijing, China in September and the World University Games which will be held in Torino, Italy this October.

Before I pack my bags for these world wide adventures, I will meet up with some feisty competition at the Canada Cup in Guelph, Ontario. Turnout for this event is usually pretty decent as we host the national team training camp the week following the competition. There are usually foreign competitors in the mix, which always makes it a little more fun.

To summarize, the next four months will be an exciting and exhausting campaign of training and competition and should live up to the promise of some great competitions. Here is a quick look at my upcoming schedule:

Canada Cup International: July 2-3, 2010, Guelph, Ontario
National Team Training Camp: July 4-9, 2010, Guelph, Ontario
Poland Open: August 5-7, 2010, Spala, Poland
Training Camp: August 8-11, 2010, Spala, Poland
Sport Combat Games: Sept 1-2, 2010, Beijing, China
World University Championships: October 26-30, 2010, Turin, Italy

Somewhere in between all of this I will be starting my 3rd year of law school. I haven’t really been thinking about Articling, and may defer it for one year so I can focus on more athletic training.

Thanks Boughton for your continued support. Why aren’t you on Wikipedia yet? Ha-ha
